If I could live in another time period and place in history I would like to live in the 1970’s and 1980’s. There are many reasons for this, and it’s not so I can go back in time and see my parents like Back to the Future. First off, the music in the 70’s and 80’s is my ultimate favorite time of music in history. I love rock music and funk music from that time. Some of my favorites are journey, bee gees, the police, Motley Crue, kool and the gang, earth wind and fire, Michael Bolton, REO speed wagon, Bon Jovi, Wham, Abba, Billy Joel, and TOTO just to name a few.

The main reason I like a lot of older music is because of my grandfather and father. My grandfather introduced me to people like Frank Sinatra and the bee gees. I know Frank Sinatra is way older than the 70’s and 80’s, but I feel like that opened up my path of music research. My dad likes a lot of the people that I do. Every time we’re in the car we’ll play music from the time period of his childhood and sing along. Another major reason I would love to live in the 70’s and 80’s is the fashion.

The fashion was really nice because it was simple and also in my opinion, stylish. I feel like 80’s fashion is kind of taking it’s place again in our time with everyone wearing rolled up jeans and rolling their sleeves. The last, and most important reason I would love to live in the time period of the 70’s and 80’s is the culture and the people. Now what I mean by this is that everyone knew how to have a conversation, and people weren’t so caught up and held prisoner to their phones. Talking to girls wasn’t texting them and never talking to them in person. People find it weird nowadays to go up to a girl and start a conversation. I’ve always been the one to want to have an actual conversation and get to know the person. Everyone back then knew how to talk and knew how to have a good time and go outside. To wrap up my explanation, I want to live in the 70’s and 80’s because everything was so much more simpler, and the quality of life was to the fullest.
